Don't worry guys
Once the stock market is bursting over 15,000 and there's a full on bull market and everyone feels rich and secure you'll see the return of fine dining and multi-course menus. I fear not for fine dining in our city! Just have to hold out for the time being and go to New York for the epic menus for now.

hi Nightbringer,

one of the beauties of food is that it doesn't force you to choose sides -- taste is not a permanent allegiance. It's possible (and even easy!) to enjoy both fine dining and pho -- and if you look at our posts, we do. After all, the very premise of this site is that food is not exclusive, but rather, inclusive.

$7 pho is awesome...but that doesn't make it the only awesome food out there.

Wow - I've eaten at restaurants for $200 a meal..... Good yet quite pricey - but after awhile most fine dining tastes the same... Nice presentation, good service.....Sometimes after all this fine dining talk and trying out restaurants with top tier chef, I now kinda prefer my $$7 Pho noodle soup + mango shake at Pho Hung down on Yonge and St.George...
