So this past weekend, I baked some of my chocolate chip cookies for Crafternoon Tea, a fund raiser tea and craft market combo. Run by fashion maven Nathalie-Roze, this was a good chance to have tea and find some locally crafted goods for holiday gifts. Though I was never sure if I was buying things for someone else or myself! Warning: many photos of tasty food and beautiful crafts (mostly crafts).
Read Shopping & Treats At Crafternoon Tea on foodpr0n.com

Toronto’s interest in food and food events seems to have reached a fever-pitch; food trucks, food fundraisers, and the proliferation of farmer’s markets in every mall parking lot give a good indication of this. Latest on the scene is the Toronto Underground Market. Self-described as a “social food market,” cooks, both new entrepreneurs and seasoned chefs alike, can show off their culinary ...more
Read Toronto Underground Market Takes Off on foodpr0n.com

I love hitting the markets in the summer. This morning, I snagged some freshly-picked veggies from the SickKids Farmer’s Market (Tuesdays 9am-2pm). You can taste the difference between corn picked this morning versus day-old corn – never mind what you get in the stores. Much more intense. I also picked up some summer sausage from ...more
Read Market Treasures on foodpr0n.com

Since early June, I'd been looking forward to the Food Truck Eats event that Suresh Doss from spotlighttoronto.com had put together. As the weeks went by, there seemed to be a lot of pickup in the media and online, and I knew: this was going to be a busy event. So my feet were on Distillery grounds a full 20 minutes early. With my eating pants on and my tupperware and chopsticks in-hand, I was ready to go.
Read Toronto Eats Up Food Trucks on foodpr0n.com
