The sun is out today but it’s still not warm enough to hit a patio for lunch and a few pints. But I can still eat like it’s summer — I went to Golden Star Restaurant (7123 Yonge Street, Thornhill) and grabbed some takeout for lunch. You go there for their burgers — my usual is a “deluxe” and a grilled cheese. “Deluxe” is their shorthand for their “homemade” burger, with bacon and cheese. And because I don’t usually eat fries with my burgers — dunno why, I just find them dry and tiresome — I always side the deluxe with a grilled cheese, for that extra shot of carbs. Washed it down with a cup of office coffee and was all ready for my afternoon meeting.
