Barcelona, Spain. It’s Sunday and most places are closed. Luckily, it doesn’t mean you can’t eat well. Suculent, not far from La Rambla, is a fantastic tapas place. Simple dishes so rich in flavour. Highly recommended, Sunday or not!
Olives
Marinated fresh anchovies.
Calf tail and mushroom croquettes - so rich and decadent. The mouthfeel was incredible.
Txacoli (Mas Codina)
Poached egg with white beans. And pork. So simple. So good.
Cod fish with snails
Maresme peas with black sausage and bacon. Bathing in this most delightful broth.
Yuzu sorbet, strawberries and cream, and milk rice.
Leisurely afternoon doodle
Pork & squid meatballs that were reminiscent of a Chinese dish my mother makes with dried scallop.
Field berries with honey, ricotta, and crumble So simple.
Fried Anemones - enjoyed the experience of eating them for the first time here.
