These samosas from A-One Catering have been a favourite of mine ever since Vanessa requested a pit-stop here during one of our eating adventures. Great depth of flavour, crunchy wrapper (not the doughy kind), and generously stuffed. I’m especially fond of those whole spices lurking in there – you’d think it would overwhelm – but it somehow totally escapes that pitfall.

Chicken, beef, and vegetarian (ask for it) are available and I’ve tried to determine which one is better. I usually say vegetarian until I eat the beef again. Then I tried the chicken, which is also really delicious. I’ve recently (…this morning, when I was in a rush…) discovered that they’re possibly even tastier the next day – and they still hold their crisp – right out of the fridge. Or, if you can’t manage to eat them all quickly, toss them into the freezer and reheat them in the oven.

It’s a far trek if you’re not already out in Mississaugua, but worth a detour if you’re in the area. They also have lunches of goat curry, roti, and a ton of indian sweets, including white jelabi (another favourite of mine).
