After watching Julie & Julia at the TIFF Lightbox (part of the Food On Film series that ran earlier in the year), you could wander over to LUMA and have the classic dish of beef bourgignon. The dish was rich and hearty, as it should be. A nice way to complete the evening. The film series was hosted by Chef Jason Bangerter and that evening featured a talk with Laura Calder. Strangely, I’d never gotten around to watching Julie & Julia and thought it rather good. Loved Meryl Streep’s portrayal of Julia Child!
